Rainbow Trail Project

Hello Birkby Junior School pupils!

Have you heard of or seen images of the #RainbowTrail?

We all think it is a fantastic idea, so we want you all to join in too.

#RainbowTrail is all about making yourself and everybody else feel happy by creating a rainbow picture and displaying it in your window so that anyone near can see and share it. Rainbows help us to feel like a community whilst we are all at home.

There are rainbow trails all over the country now, so let’s make a huge one of our own, here!

You can create your rainbow however you want to. It can be huge or small, it can have a message on it (like “Stay Safe” or “keep smiling”) or no message at all.

If you have paints at home you can paint one. Or, you could draw one with felt tips or coloured crayon. If you want to try something different what about a collage with sweet wrappers or old magazine pages? You could use hand prints or finger printing. You could work with your brothers and sisters or all make one each so you have lots of rainbows. Don’t rush your lovely rainbow – take your time and enjoy making it.

When your rainbow is finished display it in a window so we can all see it.

Please take photographs and send them to your class email. Then Mrs Gregg can make a rainbow display for our school community to share too.

Stay Safe and Have Fun!
