Birkby Junior School

Hi everyone! My name is Miss Holmes and I am one of the teachers in Year 3 looking forward to meeting you all. I have worked at Birkby Junior School for 3 years in Year 3 and have loved every minute of it, I can’t wait to see you all join us next year! Before working at Birkby Junior School, I worked in different countries looking after lots of children whilst they were on holiday! We went on all kinds of adventures, played lots of games and had parties on an evening. The countries I worked in were Tunisia, Majorca and Ibiza, have you visited any of those places before? I also spent some time working at Birkby Infants alongside Mrs Manser in Year 2 so you may have even seen me around school when you were in reception. Here are a few other facts about me:

• My favourite subject to teach in school is Art because I love seeing how creative you all can be and I like to join in the process also! Drawing is my preferred technique but I also enjoy painting and crafting.
• My favourite food is Pizza! What is yours? I also enjoy the occasional chocolate, or two, or three……
• When I am not in school I enjoy going to the gym, seeing my friends and family, going on holiday and relaxing at home. What is your favourite thing to do at home?
