Mr D Butler
Hi everyone! My name is Mr Butler and I am a Year 3 teacher at Birkby Junior School.. That means that it is my job to teach you lots of exciting and interesting things whilst you are at school. Did you know that I used to work at Birkby Infants? I know your Year 2 teachers really well and I even did a mud run with Mr Gomersall! He’s always persuading me to do crazy things with him like completing obstacle courses!
I am really excited to meet you all and show you all the wonderful things you can do at Birkby Junior School! I also can’t wait to find out all about you and get to know you over the course of the year. Until then, here are some interesting facts about me:
- I have been teaching at Birkby Junior School for 4 years!
- My favourite subject to teach in school is Maths. I love tackling tricky challenges and using my maths knowledge to solve problems.
- I really love sport and technology. My favourite sports are football and basketball and I love showing people our immersive classroom where you can travel anywhere in the world! We will have to play a game on our gigantic playground when you come up to see us!
- My favourite foods are pizza and fajitas, although I try to eat fruit in school to keep my body healthy. I would much rather eat pizza all day though!
When I’m not in school I like to go to the gym with my friends and do lots of exercises. I find it tricky but I enjoy trying my best and giving 100% effort. I have also recently moved house so I spend a lot of time decorating. If you’re really arty and creative, I might have to ask for your help with colours. What colours would you use to decorate your house?
