Mrs K Farrington

Hi everyone! My name is Mrs Farrington; I am the year group leader for Year 3 and also an Assistant Head Teacher. This means that I help to look after all the children in Year 3 to make sure that they feel happy and settled in school. If you have any worries or concerns, your parents and you can come and speak to me; I am always happy to sort out any problems you have! I am also very lucky because I get to teach a lot of the Year 3 classes for half a day or sometimes even a full day a week when your class teacher has time out of class to plan your lessons. This is a great way of getting to know all the children in my year group.
I can’t wait to meet you all and find out all about you! Would you like to know about me? Here are some interesting facts:
- I have been teaching at Birkby Junior School for 14 years!
- My favourite subject to teach in school is English as I’m passionate about reading and read about 3 books a week; even more if you include all the books that I read to my own children at home.
- I have taught in year 3, year 4, year 5 and year 6 at Birkby Junior School…can you guess which is my favourite?
- My favourite foods are Pizza…and Curry…and Chocolate. Oh! It’s too hard to choose one!
- When I’m not in school I like to: spend time with my family (I have 2 children); go running and go on holiday. The best country I have ever visited is Vietnam. Have you travelled to anywhere interesting?
