Mrs K McCaffery
Hi Everyone! My name is Mrs McCaffrey; I am one of the Year 3 teachers and in September I will be teaching one of the Year 3 from Birkby Infants. I have been teaching at Birkby Junior School now for five years. Nexy year will be my fourth year in Year 3 as I used to teach Year 6 children. I am very lucky because I get to teach many of my previous Year 3 children’s siblings and cousins every new year. I might have even taught one of your older siblings or cousins!
I can’t wait to meet you all and find out all about you! Here are some fun facts about myself:
- My favourite lesson to teach in school is Maths as I’m passionate about setting exciting Maths challenges every lesson! We also really enjoy using the IPads in school for Times Table Rock Stars challenges and Mathletics!
- I also love teaching art! My favourite piece of art work we do in year three is when we design and create our own clay pots from the Stone Age. What is your favourite lesson at school?
- This year myself and my husband bought a puppy to join our family. His name is Milo and he is extremely cute and mischievous! Unfortunately, his favourite thing to chew is my shoes.
- My favourite type of food is Italian, I LOVE pizza and pasta! I do love a spicy paneer curry too, so maybe Indian food is my favourite?
- When I’m not in school I like to: spend time with my family; go on long walks with my puppy Milo and go on holiday. The most exciting place I have visited is Thailand. Where is somewhere exciting you have been?
